Written the way each country writes
Written arithmetic is not the same everywhere. German schools write 364 · 35 and 3138 : 6 = 523 on squared paper; French schools set division out in a “potence”; Indian NCERT textbooks write 5) 62 (12; Japanese answers read 7あまり2; thousands are separated by a comma, a point or a space depending on the country. Each country page on this site uses its own notation, number format, division layout and paper size (A4 or US Letter).
How the grade presets are chosen
Grade presets follow each country’s official curriculum documents, which are linked on every country page. Each preset shows the standard it practises (for example “CCSS 4.NBT.B.6” or “2022 개정 [4수01-06]”). Where a curriculum sets goals only for a band of grades, the preset is labelled with that band. Worksheets are practice material; they are not published or endorsed by any ministry or curriculum body.
How the problems are made
Problems are generated in your browser from the options you choose, and the answer key is computed exactly. Settings such as “regrouping in every problem” or “always a remainder” are checked by automated tests against thousands of generated sheets. A link with ?seed= recreates the same sheet, so a class can share one worksheet.
